Krystal and JP’s white blush and silver wedding at the Tuscan-inspired wedding venue Villa Siena was a classic and pretty day with family and friends joyfully celebrating the happy couple. Krystal’s daughter Koren was by her mom’s side every step of the way including during the toasts- the 7 year old, unbeknownst to her parents, wrote her own speech and delivered it beautifully at the reception!
Krystal was stunning in her WTOO wedding gown from Mariee Bridal- it featured a ball gown skirt and beaded top with a sweetheart neckline (we think her daughter loved it as much as she did!).
How great is JP’s reaction during the first look? We love these moments!
The Venue: We knew we wanted something intimate, timeless, and romantic. After viewing several venues, we quickly chose Villa Siena because it had lush scenery and an elegant, old-world ambiance.
Sweetness: Wrapped around my bouquet was a necklace that belonged to my great grandmother and one of the most sentimental gifts that I was given was by my aunt. She gave me my something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a six pence for my shoe,
White blush and silver wedding ceremony: From the beginning it was important that pick the right officiant. Our officiant, Matt, spent a lot of time with us and asked us a lot of in depth questions to get to know us. The result was a traditional, meaningful, and at times, funny, ceremony that allowed our friends and families a glimpse into our relationship. A lot of our guests told us how wonderful and sweet they thought the ceremony was. And most importantly, my 7 year old daughter Koren was included. We had a sand ceremony (with blush, silver, and ivory sand) to symbolize our family merging and never being separated.
We also loved our bag piper. He is so talented! He played as guests entered the ceremony space and waited for the ceremony to begin and then played again after the ceremony as JP and I walked down the aisle. It was homage to JP’s Scottish heritage and my Irish heritage.
White blush and silver wedding reception: Villa Siena’s Firenze Ballroom was beautifully decorated with white linens and blush and silver accents; tall centerpieces consisted of grand crystal and silver candelabra topped with blush, pink and ivory roses and hydrangeas.
JP is a wine collector which fit in perfectly with the Tuscan feel of the venue. Wine corks held the place cards and we had a customized mini wine barrel to hold the wedding cards…as a gift to our guests, we designed stemless wine glasses to commemorate our wedding day.
Favorite part of the day: As we were planning our wedding day, someone advised us to take a quiet moment together to look at our guests enjoying themselves. So as soon as we sat down at our sweetheart table, we took a moment to hold hands and watch our guests for a few moments and saw they were laughing and smiling and having a wonderful time. It was all of our favorite people in one room celebrating.
White blush and silver wedding sweets: The couple had a candy bar filled with their favorite childhood candies along with a gorgeous wedding cake by Piece of Cake Desserts. The wedding cake was a three tier white almond infusion with an almond cream cheese filling and a buttercream frosting. The ivory cake was adorned with silver pearls and a design that mimicked the beading of my wedding dress, complete with a cascade of blush and light pink roses.
Krystal recalls a big surprise from the wedding day (the good kind!): A surprise came from the best man and JP’s brother, Rob. As we took a drive down Arizona Avenue in downtown Chandler, we spotted a towering billboard, which congratulated us.
Krystal and JP (and Koren), thank you for sharing your completely beautiful white blush and silver Wedding wedding with us and congratulations!
