Engagement: Ashley and Stephen at Disneyland
categories: Engagement

I can tell you from experience, Disneyland really IS the “happiest place on earth”- it’s fun for all ages and the iconic scenery is heartwarming. Ashley and Stephen, a couple that is altar bound in March 2013, agree and thought it would be the perfect place for their engagement pictures- they got engaged at the theme park last December so it was a natural choice!

They started with some playful shots…

Favorite Things:

Ashley: Steve’s sweet and generous nature

Steve: Ashley’s bubbly personality

Then they went for some style (I never knew Disneyland could look so grown up!)

3 words to describe Ashley and Steve’s relationship: love, laughter and happily ever after!

R2 Studio rocked it and made Disneyland look elegant! (I have taken pictures of my children on these stairs and they are definitely not this chic!)

What a sweet way to end the day- the illuminated castle is so romantic!

Winter Spring 2013 Teaser: Dreamy White
categories: cakes and sweets, fabulous reception sites, floral inspiration, from the consultants, reception ideas, Wedding Inspiration

Choosing your color palette for your wedding is a big deal. It’s the starting point for all other decisions so if you love white, go with it! We have a beautiful feature coming up in our Winter Spring 2013 issue but for now, here’s a peek at the pretties to come!

Jennifer Thye, owner of Imoni Events and the stylist for this shoot, designed the table with a specific vision: white weddings are timeless, and there is so much you can do to enhance the look of a fancy affair when you use whites. White is universal and gorgeous. Megan and I found all the white metal and glass pieces at a local antique shop- they were the first items that inspired the overall look of the shoot. I am obsessed with white and antiques so they were a perfect fit.

Table Tops, Etc. says: We wanted to play with subtle tones in creams, beiges, grays, and soft mixed metals to give an antique charm to the table and create a romantic, feminine atmosphere…We selected balsa wood flowers to bring an unexpected textural element to the floral arrangements.

Behind the scenes dish from Jennifer Thye: We used Melissa’s (from Table Tops, Etc.) family china. As we were setting the table we realized that the bowls didn’t look pretty without something inside of them- the gold details were so much prettier when they had some sort of white dessert- so at the last minute we had the pastry chef fill them with whipped cream topped with caramel, to match the table colors and give the whipped cream some texture. It really did make the bowls stand out.

Winter Spring 2013 Teaser: The Groom
categories: Grooms, health and beauty, photography, Wedding Inspiration

As far as I’m concerned, this is the ultimate teaser photo. You can only see there’s a really good looking guy dressed to the nines. You have no idea he flew in from Italy for the shoot. You have no idea makeup artist Corinna Cooke dubbed him “Humphrey” for the day. You have no idea that the tunes were so hot that the shoot happily lasted 2 hours longer than it was scheduled for. And you definitely have no idea that there’s an ultra-chic and sexy groom’s feature coming your way in our Winter Spring 2013 issue. Oops…

All teasing aside, pick up a copy here  mid-December.

You should since so many of Arizona’s weddings happen on golf courses and on various other tricky terrain.  Discreet and easy to use, the SoleMates High Heeler® attaches easily to most stiletto and kitten heels. By increasing the surface area on the base of the heel, it reduces the pressure on this area and prevents the heel from sinking into grass or falling into cracks!

These hand-cut heart- shaped brownies are not only delicious, they come prettily displayed; we think the Brownie Wedding Tower is perfect for your reception dessert table, wedding shower sweets, or even late night reception snacks!

The winner gets to choose from several flavors (Tutto Bene, My Cherry Amour, La Grande Dame, Raspberry Kiss, or Sweet Dreams) or work with JJ’s Brownies to create a custom flavor (free delivery within a 15 mile radius of Cactus/101 is included).
