Kristen and Jeffrey’s woodland inspired Sedona wedding in Fall is packed with beautiful moments and copper hued wedding decor- it’s the season’s hottest color and you’ll understand why we love it so much once you see the pics!

The ring bearers carried treasure chests covered in moss, grasses, pods and succulents; flower girls donned the sweetest boho inspired floral crowns

The ceremony was outside and had the most spectacular view of Sedona’s Red Rocks; the copper colored leaves in the garland and floral arrangements are magnolia leaves- we really love them for fall weddings!

Congrats to the bride and groom!

The reception was in the ballroom and Events by Showstoppers filled it beautifully with floral garland, hanging chandeliers, dramatic drape, intentional lighting, and lush centerpieces; even though the reception was indoors, it still had a magical woodland vibe.

Events by Showstoppers tells us about the seating card display: Three old wrought iron gates served as the seat assignment cards.  They formed a free standing  “screen,” and were draped with more handmade floral garlands…The cards were tied on alphabetically.

The rehearsal dinner was just as gorgeous so we wanted to include a few photos from that event as well:

Justine and Jason wanted more than a wedding. They wanted a whole wedding weekend with their friends and family (who traveled from around the country to join them on their special day) where they could explore together, relax together, and spend quality time together. Sedona provided the perfect atmosphere for a fun extended wedding weekend and the couple got exactly what they wanted.

The Colors: The wedding color palette, which got it’s inspiration from the fresh colors of spring, were ivory, blush, and gold. The bride has a canary yellow engagement ring so the bridesmaids’ accessories were in shades of golden yellow.

Phoenix Bride and Groom_Arizona wedding blog_Real Arizona Wedding_Sedona wedding_outdoor wedding_pink_blush_gold_Events by Showstoppers_Charity Maurer Photography

The Flowers: The flowers we used were peonies, ranunculus, roses, tulips, hydrangea and assorted bulb flowers.  The color palette was peach, blush, champagne, ivory, and some grey with a touch of metallic gold. The bride wanted slightly deeper colors to pop against the dresses but still wanted to keep a romantic spring feel. (Events by Showstoppers)

The Ceremony: The most intimate and important part of the wedding to us was the ceremony; with this in mind I (the bride) asked my older brother if he would do us the honor of marrying us. With his knowledge of Jason and I, the sharing of sentimental memories, sage advice, and sarcastic humor, an endless amount of memorable laughs were created.

The Reception: Shimmering golden tablecloths were accented with beautiful low floral centerpieces that featured artfully designed vases. A wash of blush lighting made the room glow warmly.

Bring on the Sugar:  Varied layers of gold and blush on the wedding cake continued the romantic wedding theme. The bride has a sweet tooth so it was important that not only was the cake pretty but it tasted good as well. Each of the four layers had a different flavored cake and filling- Justine’s favorite was the champagne layer that had white chocolate raspberry filling.

Tyler planned to propose to Stephanie at the Grand Canyon during a romantic trip to Sedona but they ended up off-course and he proposed at L’Auberge de Sedona instead- not a bad alternate, right?! Since fate brought them to the creekside venue, they knew they wanted to celebrate their wedding there as well.

The wedding day was a beautiful celebration of the couple’s much anticipated reunion- Tyler had often been abroad serving in Afghanistan for the 7 years they dated so his homecoming was extra sweet; shades of purple, gold and ivory served as a lovely accent to the lush Sedona surround.

The open air reception was lit from above with paper lanterns and the shimmery linens played nicely off the votives that were scattered throughout the intimate courtyard.

Wedding Event: Sedona Bridal Show and Boot Camp
categories: destination weddings and honeymoons, fabulous reception sites, open houses, Sedona, Sedona Weddings, upcoming events, Wedding Inspiration, Wedding Resources

January is a busy month for couples planning their weddings- there’s the whole “EEEEEE I got my ring and I said yes and I can’t stop staring at the sparkly bauble on my finger!” thing that’s happening but also, you know you have to get moving on a few things. You need to determine a budget and date, schedule some venue visits and wedding coordinator appointments (we’ve got that covered- just go to our wedding website and check out the Elite Circle vendors), and immerse yourself in all things wedding. You must get hip with what’s happening and not happening in weddings these days.

But first of all, you’ve made a great choice by hooking up with us. We’ll ease your mind and give you tried and true wedding planning advice. We’ll also recommend only the best vendors in Arizona AND we’ll keep you up to date on the shows and events in Arizona that you’ll want to attend. One such event is the Sedona Bridal Show and Boot Camp.

Phoenix Bride and Groom_Arizona wedding magazine_wedding event_bridal show_Sedona Bridal Show and Bootcamp

We’ve been proud supporters of this event from the beginning and with good reason. The group of vendors that founded it and continue to nurture it are simply outstanding. They are creative and ambitious, kind and reliable, and without a doubt, professional. You’ll soon learn how important that last trait is.

Register here for 2 free tickets to the show (you have to pre-register to get the free tickets).

We’ll be at the show proudly handing out copies of our Winter Spring 2015 issue and chatting with you. Looking forward to visiting with you in Sedona on the 17th!

Liza and James said “I Do” in the idyllic creekside setting of  L’Auberge de Sedona- the color palette of blue, yellow and green went beautifully with the gorgeous surround.

Favorite memory from the day: My favorite memory of our wedding is that simply everything went perfectly. The weather was beautiful, the outdoor ceremony and reception was set up exactly the way I envisioned it, and the love between my husband I was magical.

The outdoor reception at L’Auberge de Sedona’s Creek House Patio was a lovely way to celebrate Liza and James’ nuptials; the navy and white decor popped with sunny yellow and made the entire scene magical. Special touches such as color coordinating pashminas, custom labeled wine bottles, a personal thank you note to guests, a modern take on the wedding guest book, and chalkboard signage drew in guests for an evening of fun and celebration.

From one bride to another: The best advice I can give to couples who are currently planning their wedding is enjoy the process and take your time. Your wedding day only comes around once and before you know it the day is here and gone therefore enjoy every minute of this moment in time.
